Our Story
Hi, we’re Jules & Tom Berry.
Tom’s family have farmed here for generations and we’re now building a new tradition for the future. Brenley Wines are a celebration of this little corner of Kent. We planted our first vines in 2009 and have built a reputation for producing quality grapes, as well as hops, apples and pears. In 2019, we decided to make the leap and produce our own vintage. This is just the beginning - we’re proud to release wine under the Brenley name.
We are now delighted to welcome visitors to the farm for vineyard tours and tastings, offering you the opportunity to truly get to know the people and place behind the wine. Join us for a guided walk through our vineyards, nestled amongst fruit and hop gardens with breathtaking views across Faversham.
We are expert growers
We grow Bacchus, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, surrounded by orchards and hop gardens that define the rich agricultural landscape of The Garden of England - Kent.
As the climate evolves, the South East of England is increasingly proving itself to be a prime microclimate for growing high-quality grapes. At Brenley Farm, we blend innovative viticultural techniques with generations of farming experience to consistently produce wines of character and quality. We live and work on this land, and know these soils and this environment intimately - giving us an edge in growing grapes that truly express our unique corner of the English countryside.
Our Home: Brenley Farm
Brenley Farm is truly unique. Many of the buildings surrounding the farmhouse are Grade II Listed, recognised for their architectural and historical significance. Highlights include the original medieval thatched granary, a tithe barn, the walled vegetable garden, and an elegant Georgian stable block - each offering a glimpse into the farm’s rich past.
The Berry family have farmed this land since the 1800s, shaping a landscape that today includes apples, pears, hops and of course vineyards. This diverse and abundant environment is cared for with a long-term view and deep commitment to sustainability. After all, you can’t farm in one place for generations without respecting and nurturing the land that sustains you.
Our Wine
We released our first wine, Brenley Bacchus, in 2020, and since then, our range has grown to include a Rosé, a Red, and a Sparkling.
Our philosophy is simple: we believe wine should be for everyone. We take a light-hearted, down-to-earth approach to growing and making wine, because we think the wine world should be accessible, welcoming, and above all - fun!
Nothing makes us happier than hearing how people enjoy our wines or seeing where our bottles end up. So if you’re raising a glass with friends, cooking up a feast, or just enjoying a quiet moment, share it with us on Instagram - @brenleywine We’d love to see your #BrenleyMoments!
What’s with the ducks?
We love watching the wild ducks on the pond here at Brenley Farm. Their playful spirit, quiet elegance, and natural charm capture exactly what we hope to express in our wines.
Ducks have long been part of Brenley’s story. A Mallard weathervane still turns atop the old barn, a nod to the farm’s heritage dating back to the 1800s. Over time, they’ve become more than just a familiar sight - they’ve become a symbol.
That’s why you’ll find our feathered friends front and centre on our wine labels - a tribute to the joy, beauty and character we aim to bottle in every vintage.
