Hi, we’re Jules & Tom Berry. Tom’s family have farmed here for generations and we are now building a new tradition for the future. Brenley Wines are a celebration of this little corner of Kent. We planted our first vines in 2009 and have built a reputation for producing quality Grapes as well as Hops, Apples & Pears. In 2019 we decided to make the leap and produce our own vintage. This is just the beginning,  we are proud to release wine under the Brenley name. In time we will be opening the farm up to vineyard tours and tastings give you the opportunity to really get to know the people and place behind the Wine.

Expert Growers

We grow Bacchus, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, & Chardonnay surrounded by fruit and hops typical of the landscape of The Garden of England, Kent.

The changing climate means that the South East of England is becoming an ever improving micro climate for growing grapes. We combine innovative new viticulture growing techniques with years of experiences of growing at Brenley Farm to produce a consistent, quality product. We live and work here and so know these soils and this environment as well as anyone.

Brenley Farm

Brenley Farm is unique. Many of the buildings around the house and farm are Listed Grade II and of architectural and historical interest. This includes the walls around the house and vegetable garden; a mediaeval thatched granary and tithe barn and the fine Georgian stable building. The Berry Family have farmed here since the 1800s. Apples, pears, hops and of course the vineyards, make up a rich and diverse landscape all farmed with care and a focus on sustainability. You can’t farm as long as we have without looking after the environment around you.

Our Wine

Our first release is the Brenly Bacchus 2019. Made exclusively from estate grown grapes from the farm. Notes of lime peel and wet stone characterise the nose and palate. To be enjoyed in the sunshine with friends.

In 2021 We released a 2020 Pinot Noir Rosé as well as our 2020 Bacchus - Later this year we will release a 2019 Blanc de Blanc - watch this space!

We want our wine to be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. We take a light hearted approach to growing and making wine and feel the wine world should be accessible and most of all, fun!

What’s with the ducks?

We love watching the wild ducks on the pond here at Brenley Farm. Their playful nature, sense of fun & understated beauty represent what we are aiming to achieve with our wines. There is a Mallard duck weathervane atop the old barn dating back to the 1800s, so ducks have always been a motif for Brenley and now they are front and centre on our wine labels.
